Meet Calvin

Alderman Calvin B. Williams, a proud native of Utica, Mississippi, has dedicated his life to uplifting his hometown. He completed his education in Utica, attending local schools from elementary through community college. Each step of his academic journey instilled in him a profound understanding of the importance of community, a value that has become the cornerstone of his public service.

With a strong commitment to revitalizing Utica, Alderman Williams has actively engaged in projects aimed at beautifying the community, including the acquisition and redevelopment of blighted properties. Understanding the significant impact of accessible resources, he spearheaded the establishment of the Utica Farmer’s Market to counteract the loss of the local grocery store, providing residents not only with fresh produce but also a vital space for social interaction and community bonding.

Alderman Williams envisions his role extending beyond mere governance; he is a staunch advocate for community unity and economic development. He believes that every resident deserves effective representation and that true leadership is rooted in public service rather than self-interest.
